Disgraced financier Bernard Madoff was being held in a federal prison in Atlanta Tuesday after his transfer from a New York lockup. It's not clear how long he'll be there, but the Atlanta lockup isn't Madoff's final destination, according to a law enforcement official on Monday. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to the Associated Press because the person wasn't authorized to discuss prisoner transfers, said Madoff was headed to a federal prison in Butner, N.C., to begin serving his 150-year sentence.
