Throgs Neck Bridge Delays

Throgs Neck Bridge:
Two Lanes Open Entering Bronx-bound, No Trucks;
   Cross Island Parkway Bronx-bound Ramp Closed

Two Bronx-bound lanes leading onto the Throgs Neck Bridge are currently open to cars only as a result of a construction fire incident on 7/10/09.  One Bronx-bound lane remains closed leading onto the bridge. In addition, the Bronx-bound Cross Island Parkway ramp has been closed for safety reasons to avoid a hazardous merge around the closed lane. Trucks are not allowed on the Bronx-bound lanes at this time and are being diverted to the RFK.  Queens-bound lanes are all open; there are no new restrictions on trucks traveling Queens-bound.
